Sharon Turner
Training for the Young Horse and Rider

Sharon is a Lifetime USPC member and graduate ‘A’ pony clubber from the Difficult Run Pony Club in the VA region. She is an active rider, trainer and breeder with over 20 years of experience within the equestrian community. Sharon has successfully competed from novice through preliminary levels in eventing, through second level in dressage and has trained and schooled to more advanced levels in both dressage and jumping. The current focus of her own riding is in the development of the young horse for sport. She has participated and ridden in young horse training seminars and has developed several young progeny for the competition arena. In 2003 Sharon qualified for, and was able to compete in the USAE 5 year old Young Horse National Championships in dressage. She continues to receive guidance through numerous clinicians and instructors but notably credits her pony club foundation years with instruction from local greats such as Phyllis Dawson, Nancy Cleveland, Stephen Bradley, Major Jeremy Beale, and USPC National Examiner Cathy Frederickson. She was a Visiting Instructor for the USPC and actively teaches with the Redland Hunt Pony Club in the MD region.
